What really gets me about this op-ed, is that we the people were told that things were super bad and that it needed the infusion immediately. We were told that we could look at the proposed bill before it went up for vote. We were told that we could expect bi-partisan from the majority and a change would be in place from other previous administrations and all we see is the "same" partisan "get you back" attitude that has festered in the Congress for many years. We were told that that this bill will give jobs to many and stimulate the "economy".
The truth is this bill was created to stimulate the government, no if and's or but's. The "pet" projects that are in this bill did not need to be in this bill "at this time". We needed a stimulus bill that would give us confidence and bring back the economy the way that it should be and I dare anyone to say that this bill gives you confidence in the economy. Most of you will say that it will in the future or this bill was made for the future. Tell the markets that.
